Dan Raymond
Dan is the son of a preacher and grandson of Bible college professors and missionaries, but God had to drag him into the ministry kicking and screaming (He initially studied computer science). He once told God, “I’ll do anything you want except be a preacher.” It’s a good thing God has a sense of humor.
Dan is a graduate of Ozark Christian College and been in full-time Christian ministry since 1991. He partnered with Son-Rise in the spring of 2015. Dan has done everything in ministry from website design to children’s ministry, but his passion is for preaching and teaching God’s word.
He married his wife, Teresa, in January of 1993 and they have two brilliant and beautiful daughters. Alyssa is a Medical Lab Scientist at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, while Allison is studying for her Masters in English Education at Missouri State University in Springfield.
Dan is an avid cyclist who loves books, guns, computers, U2, tinkering (as long as it isn’t cars), and taking trips with his family. He also wrote perhaps the world’s only Christian zombie novel (well, sort of).
