Do you ever feel like Thanksgiving gets lost in the squeeze between Halloween and Christmas? It’s not just your imagination. Profit and loss statements and shareholder statements have pushed retail companies to push the much more profitable holidays over the less lucrative Thanksgiving. After all, there’s much more money to be made by getting us to want what we don’t have than be thankful for what we do have.
It may not be just the holiday getting pushed out. Thankfulness can easily get squeezed from our hearts. This Sunday we will look at Psalm 103:1-5 and see how praise turns our hearts in the right direction.
