In this message, we see God’s plan expanded from one person to one nation. God chose one man, so that he could choose one family. He chose one family so that he could choose one nation. He chose that one nation, so that one day, He could choose you. You start with God’s covenant with Abraham. Abraham has a son named Isaac, and then Isaac has Jacob. Jacob has twelve sons who then become the patriarchs of the 12 tribes of Israel.
It is this nation that God chooses. He chooses them to be his people, to have a special relationship with him. He sets them apart for a very special purpose. Why did God go to all this trouble to have a chosen people? What was the point in all this and what does it have to do with you?
