New Member’s Class

Pastor Dan will be hosting a New Member’s class for all who are new to the Son-Rise family. This is for new member’s or those thinking about becoming members of the church. Even if you are not sure about membership, but would like to get to know us a little more and understand who we are, why we are here, and how we operate, this is the class for you.

The New Members class will begin on July 12 and go for three weeks. We will meet during Sunday School in the Auditorium. Sunday School meets at 9 a.m. each week. We have classes for all ages, so go ahead and bring the kids.

Here is a basic outline of what we will cover in the class:

I. Our Salvation

  1. Why Church Membership? What does it means to be a member?
  2. Overview of what it means to be a Christian and what we believe.

II. Our Story

  1. History of the Christian Church / Restoration Movement
    1. Christian Unity
    2. Biblical authority
  2. History of our Congregation

III. Our Strategy

  1. Our mission statement.
  2. Vision and Goals

IV. Our Structure

  1. Our Leadership and how leaders are selected
  2. Our ministries
  3. Our missions
