A few months ago we looked at Jesus’ seven “I Am” statements in the gospel of John. In addition to these seven statements of identity and purpose, John also records seven signs. These aren’t just seven miracles at random. These aren’t the only miracles Jesus performed, but John chose these seven specifically for what they reveal about Jesus. But is it reasonable for modern, educated believers to believe in miracles? What is the significance of Jesus’ miracles for our modern age?
