(The first several minutes of the sermon are missing) Music is powerful. It stirs us. It moves us. Music taps into the parts of our brains connected to emotions. But I don’t think we needed a neuroscientist to tell us this. We use music to reflect our feelings, and even drive them. We connect music to some of the most important parts of our lives. There is the class song when we graduate. Every couple has “their” song. There’s the favorite song we sing to our children as they fall asleep. And of course, we sing at church. Do you every wonder why?
